...Adrian & Sarah and the staff would all like to give a warm and friendly welcome to The Old Crown Coaching Inn. A traditional 16th century Inn complete with olde worlde oak beams situated in the quaint little town of Faringdon in Oxfordshire we have an ideal base here to explore the rich history of Faringdon or the dreaming spires of Oxford and being at the very foot of the rolling hills of the Cotswolds makes for super days out. Why not come and stay with us over Christmas and take the stress out of the Season of Goodwill! We have some fantastic and quite Festive Feasting planned and a botherless Christmas or New Year Break.

With plenty to do during the day, wholesome food, real ale and a roaring fire to cozy up to for your evening comfort, plus weekly entertainment this is the perfect stop over for the business or leisure traveller.

We have a full compliment of interesting locals past and present, the current ones you will find friendly and the past ones include a poet laureate, Henry James Pye, reputed to be referred to in the traditional English nursery rhyme "Sing a song of sixpence" which features four and twenty black birds baked in a pye (pie)! We have featured lines from some of his poetry throughout our web site and you can find out more about Henry, the history and locality by clicking on the navigation bar or on links within the texts on the site.

The Old Crown Coaching Inn is proud to be part of RelaxInnz Chapman Group of hotels, a family run business providing hospitality for over 25 years.
